Winter is here: ‘Games of throne’ themed ice hotel has just unveiled by the Lapland’s hotel in Finland. The GOT-themed ice hotel is a joint effort between Lapland hotel and HBO to create a truly unique Game of Thrones experience.
Appropriately named the ‘Snow Village’, each of the 10 rooms in the hotel is sculpted out of snow and ice. You will find a number of ‘Game of Thrones’ features like a ferocious white walker with glowing blue eyes, the Hall of Faces, giant ice dragon sculptures and even the Throne made of ice. This unique hotel only opens during the winter until April as all of the snow and ice melts away come springtime.
Hotel is covering 18,000 square meter space, with over 44 million pounds of snow and 771,000 pounds of ice. Guests can sleep on a bed completely made of ice with thermal sleeping bags to keep them warm. However, it suggests that guests stay only one night due to the temperatures which can dip to -5C. Themed rooms begin at £261. Freezing just thinking about it? Same here!
